Trump the Victor

Hellow!!! This week we’re touching on a category for the first time, namely the current news category. And what better way to kick off the Current News, then commenting on the results of the US elections. Unless, you’ve been living under a rock (like a very big rock), you must have heard about a certain man who goes by the name of Donald Trump, a man who will be the President of the United States of America. So let’s kick on with it!

First of all, I would like to spare a few words on the man stepping down. Barack Obama, you legend. I mean, Mr. Obama picked the USA up after the recession and managed to bring the states back on its feet. Moreover the actions he took always had 1 aim, that of uniting the states more than ever. Over and above, the way he spoke was as motivational and influential as any speaker I have ever heard. Mr. President, you touched the hearts of many and your tenure will be heavily missed. Hopefully Ms. Obama can step up to the challenge in 4 years’ time.

Moving on (sob, sob), now America have elected Donald Trump as predicted by the Simpsons several years back anyways. The man who said that 1 million dollars accounted for a small loan, yes, that man. The same man who formed part of the cast for Home Alone 2!!! Imagine telling John Hughes, the producer of Home Alone that one of the actors would one day be the president of America. He would probably spit his tea out!!! But that’s what happened actually! 2016 was such a rollercoaster of a year! Leicester won the Premier League, Brexit happened and Donald Trump won the election! Unpredictable is an understatement I suppose! I'm like ...

Anyways, so you’re sitting there thinking, what do I think of this orange faced president? Well, judging by my wording you might have realised that I’m not a massive fan, and given the importance of America in all aspects of life, from technology to peace, I think that having the ideal person filling the role is of extreme importance. For the majority of Americans, the ideal person to fill the role was a man who can be called a racist, an extremist, unrealistic, hot headed, obnoxious and bigoted to mention a few. It’s very alarming but to be fair, there wasn’t much of a choice really. Choosing between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump as a replacement for the outgoing Barack Obama is like replacing a cathedral by building a chapel. I mean both candidates had an array of flaws. Had there been a certain Bernie Sanders instead of Hilary Clinton, I think that I would be writing this post in a happier tone I suppose.

Now, I’ve once heard a song or a commercial or something and I always remember this part of the tune, it goes like “Always look on the bright side of life dede dede dedededem”!!! Whatever, I was trying to tell you beautiful people that I tend to be quite optimistic about things in life. I mean once something happens it useless crying over spilt milk, like what’s done is done. I think instead of moaning and groaning about this and that I’d prefer to highlight the positives and look forward to those things happening. One positive that I think Trump will bring to the table is his international relations. If you exclude Mexico and Syria and its whereabouts, I think that Trump will do quite a good job in dealing with foreign countries. We know for sure that he goes on well with Putin as well as with British government, and I sincerely believe that his experience in business can contribute to these healthy relationships. And another thing! Trump is a very stubborn purpose! So if he’s in for something he won’t step down from whatever it is that he proclaims without a fight. And a final plus point that I’ll give him is that he’s a successful businessman; you can’t run away from that. Therefore, I think, that he’ll do a good job in running the economy.

Yes, No, Maybe, Baffled? What’s in store for the USA, I have no idea (big emphasis on the no I may add). What do you think? Feel free to fire your hate or express your love towards the 45th president of the states. I’ll be back with another one in a weeks’ time but until then Ta daaa!!!
